About Us

Neil Sawyer founded Sawyer Law Firm in 2026 in Massachusetts after practicing as an attorney at small to mid-sized immigration law firms in the Washington, D.C. and San Diego, California areas. Since 2018, Neil has worked with employers and applicants on employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant cases.

Neil began his immigration practice at Maggio + Kattar in 2018, where he gained extensive experience representing hospitals, clinics, and medical centers. His work included filing J-1 waiver applications, H-1B petitions, and employment-based green card applications for foreign medical graduates (physicians) serving in medically underserved areas.

In 2020, Neil joined AII Law, relocating to San Diego, California in 2022, where he remained until late 2025. During this time, he handled a full range of employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant matters, including EB-1, EB-2 National Interest Waivers (NIW), EB-3, EB-5, H-1B, TN, and L-1 visas. Neil managed employer relationships, case strategy, and filings for dozens of companies submitting anywhere from one to over one hundred EB-3 cases annually.

Neil earned his Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston, where he received the CALI Award for Excellence in Immigration Law.
